In December the winners of the Taboga Island Symbol Contest were announced. This was sponsored by the Taboga Island Revitalization Group. The judges were made up both from foreigners and Panamanians who were visiting the island. The islanders-only contest was held to find a symbol which to them represents Taboga. This symbol will be adapted to be used in signage and as a logo.
