PANAMA CANAL: The Panama Canal registered US$359.7m in revenue in the first three months of 2010, according to the Panama Canal Authority (ACP). This is a 3.1% increase on the same period the previous year.
A great view of the ships lining up to enter the canal from the Pacific side can be seen from the Panama Canal from Cerrito Tropical B&B Hotel, especially the favorite – La Palma Suite. After a very slow 2009, this year the number of ships has been increasing steadily over the past few months.
