Over the past couple of years, Cerrito Tropical B&B Hotel has been requested to host a number of very special events.
Destination Weddings is top on the list.
While it is a little complicated to get married on Taboga, or even in Panama for that matter, what most people choose to do is have their civil wedding in their home country and then have a ceremony on Taboga Island – either by the beach or in our tropical garden (if you really want to officially marry, it can be done but what it will cost you is time in red-tape issues – government and church).
This is followed by a Destination Reception in the garden of Cerrito Tropical where we have a covered area which can seat up to 40, we also have several other areas where we can host guests – for example under the mango grove, or on our ocean view balconies.
Taboga is a kicked-back, relaxed place to host a destination wedding by the beach. So relaxed that the Bride and Groom often wear sandals to their ceremony by the beach! On 2 occasions, the Bride and Groom swam in the ocean immediately following their ceremony! (fully dressed).
We also host Business Retreats – we have hosted a group from United Nations, as well as several other weekend business/think tank retreats. Perfectly located close to Panama City but far enough, and relaxed enough that executives can accomplish much and focus without distraction.
Families and Groups come to us from all over to celebrate their Special Birthdays, Anniversaries and Events. We have even hosted Pirate Weekends!
